NOREDOL® NEWS

Did you ever wish you could pick up another tube of Noredol® Skin Care Gel at your neighborhood pharmacy?

This summer Cinna embarked on a new project to get Noredol® Skin care Gel into your neighborhood independent pharmacy. The reception has been marvelous but there are a lot of pharmacies. If your pharmacy doesn’t have Noredol, please send us their name and we will contact them. That will help us spread the word while you receive a local "no wait" option.

If you are lucky enough to live in Central Ohio, Northern/Central Kentucky, or Southeast Indiana, your independent pharmacy probably already has Noredol. Tell them it works and you will benefit someone else by your knowledge… and we’ll try and make it worth your while.

Favorite New Quotes:

“I have extremely sensitive skin so I am overjoyed that Noredol really works. I have seen positive results within an hour after applying, and the improvement continues to progress during the day. When applied at night, my skin looks great upon waking even when make-up has seriously irritated it the day before. Thank you SO much.“

 Fran,   Dallas, TX

This is absolutely unbelievable. NOTHING has come even close to doing what Noredol has done for me. Thank you so much for helping me lead a normal life again, free from worrying about how my face looks!!! .“

FACE  TIME

Exercise, free radicals and vitamin C

It is recommended that individuals who engage in intensive outdoor activities supplement their diets with vitamin C, an antioxidant, to help ward off vulnerability to oxidative damage.

Are antioxidant supplement necessary for those who exercise regularly? Lets look at the facts. About 4-5 percent of the oxygen we breath in during respiration is not completely reduced to water, instead forming free radicals. Thus, as consumption of oxygen increases during exercise, a concomitant increase occurs in free radical production and lipid peroxidation. Additionally, the exercise-driven free radicals can arise from metabolic changes in muscles or muscle damage when we exercise too hard. As a result, the level of free radicals can increase substantially. Our body contains an elaborate antioxidant defense system, however, it is not known if the system is efficient enough to neutralize the additional free radical load. Therefore, it seems prudent to get regular antioxidant support to balance the free radical level, adapting the body to a regular exercise regime.

The body’s antioxidant defenses in large part depend on dietary intake of antioxidant vitamins. Vitamin C is a primary vitamin antioxidant in our body. In individuals who exercise, vitamin C lowers the blood level of oxidants and inflammatory substances as well as lipid peroxidation induced by workout. They also have less muscle soreness and better muscle function. Practically, vitamin C can protect against exercise-induced oxidation in a dose-dependent fashion. A daily intake between 100-300 mg of vitamin C, and up to 1000 mg, may be warranted to meet the needs of people who exercise (current general NIH recommendations are: 75 mg for women, and 90 mg for men). Our vitamin C supplement, the Vitamin C-Ginger-Calcium Antioxidant Blend, can be a good choice for your exercise support. When taken up to three times a day (each tablet contains 400 mg of vitamin C), it will supply the body with a solid dose of vitamin C for neutralizing the exercise-induced free radical load and keeping you in good shape, ready for the challenges that life brings.

Note: Multiple small doses help sustain the vitamin C level; when taken in a single big dose, excess of vitamin C will be excreted in the urine.

NOREDOL®  SKIN  CARE  GEL                                   COSMETIC  OF  CHOICE  FOR YOUR  NEEDS

Make Noredol® your exercise companion.  Staying active benefits the whole body, and skin is no exception. A regular exercise routine invigorates skin, as it increases circulation and delivery of additional oxygen and nutrients to skin cells, flushes away potentially damaging toxins, and stimulates collagen production by skin fibroblasts. All this helps skin stay healthy and youthful in tone and appearance. Exercise is also a great way to combat stress, and that, in turn, quiets hormones that, like in acne, are often responsible for skin problems.

However, those who exercise are also prone to numerous skin problems caused by increased moisture or friction and damaging weather elements like cold, heat, or sunlight. Rosacea and acne skin can be particularly vulnerable as irritation and redness are their recognized symptoms. Additionally, exercise-increased blood circulation can accelerate telangiectasia, an advanced stage of rosacea with a visible web of broken facial capillaries (smallest blood vessels). Many problems can be prevented by keeping the skin dry and protected during exercise and well taken care of after the workout.
If you exercise outdoors, for example, it is important to consider that you are exposing your skin to sun light that damages skin. Even on cloudy days, an estimated eighty-percent of the sun’s ultraviolet rays, UVB as well as UBA-type, make it through to reach and penetrate your skin. To help fight the negative effects of this exposure, experts recommend applying sunblocks of an SPF 15 or greater that also protect against both types of sun’s rays at least 30 min prior to working out. Always wear a hat to limit the amount of direct sunlight on your face. When you exercise indoors you save your skin from weather elements, however, it gets overheated and stressed by incresed blood flow, the same as in outdoors. When swimming is part of your exercise plan, time spent in the water challenges your skin and makes soothing and moisturing it a must. Noredol® Skin Care Gel will take care of your skin after exercise. Noredol® helps cool down skin with redness from sun exposure or a hard workout, and soothes and moisturizes it as well. It makes your skin beautifully relaxed and ready for the exercise schedule you choose to stay healthy and on top of everything in your life.

Strange as it may sound, your stress level affects your skin.

Strange as it may sound, your stress level affects your skin.

How the mind matters to the skin and how skin views stress is obviously a very intimate, reciprocal relation between your feelings and your skin appearance. What acne or rosacea sufferers know all too well, finds solid confirmation in clinical studies. Teens undergoing high stress levels at exam time are more likely to have skin breakouts than in non-stressful times (WebMD News). Adults who are under stressful situations have more skin breakouts than those who are not. Apparently, stress-provoked breakouts, particularly in acne or rosacea skin, are a result of the domino effect of the "fight or flight" reaction of the body to stressful situations. Skin, in turn, responds to stress signals by producing more sebum, an oily substance that clogs pores, making skin oily and easy to break out. With prolonged stress, when the body’s immune system weakens, breakouts stay longer as it takes skin longer to heal. Stress also means less sleep, and less sleep results in dehydrated, sagging skin with dark circles under eyes. When stressful situations drag on, our face gets that fatigued appearance, with all skin imperfections aggravated and magnified. This obviously does not help one to confidently manage the situations that stressed us in the first place.

Relax and get help with our vitamin C supplement, the Vitamin C-Ginger-Calcium-Antioxidant Blend.  Your skin will be better because vitamin C is a "skin health vitamin" that helps skin rejuvenate, recover faster and keep a youthful healthy appearance (read on vitamin C and skin in our Face Time publication). You will feel better, ready to manage stressful situations, because vitamin C reduces both physical and psychological effects of stress to the body. This is because vitamin C, at high blood levels, abolishes the secretion of cortisol, a stress hormone that triggers the "fight or flight" response to stressors our brain considers as threatening. As a result, people feel less stressed and recover from stressful situations faster when they are "saturated" with a supplement of vitamin C. Some even call vitamin C a "chill pill".

Our vitamin C antioxidant blend, recommended at a dose up to three tablets per day, can be a great everyday support for both your skin appearance and your stress management, as it helps keep a good balance between your mind and your appearance.

Whether stress causes your skin problems or skin problems cause your stress, our vitamin C supplement, complete with calcium and ginger, will help you to be on top of everything you do or plan to achieve in your life.

Aloe vera. A miracle plant of many uses.

ALOE  VERA.                                                                            A  MIRACLE  PLANT  OF  MANY  USES.

Aloe is a genus of perennial succulent plants native to Africa. They grow from the South’s Cape of Good Hope, through mountains of the tropics, to the neighboring areas and islands off Africa. The most common and well known is Aloe vera or Aloe barbadensis, the ‘true aloe’ that has been recognized through millennia for its soothing and medicinal properties. The queens of Ancient Egypt praised aloe for keeping their beauty. Alexander the Great secured supplies of aloe vera for his wounded soldiers on his conquest of the ancient world from Greece to India, and Romans followed the tradition. Closer to our times, in the 18th and 19th centuries, it was a popular remedy for many health complaints and discomforts and one of the most frequently prescribed medicines. Today it remains one of the most commonly used herbs in the United States, both internally and externally. A favorite house plant, aloe vera is recognized as a home first aid remedy: gel from its leaves is used for soothing minor burns, wounds, and various skin conditions. The gel’s effect is almost immediate, and it is believed that it reduces chances of any infection as well.

Aloe vera gel, one of the products obtained from the plant’s fleshy leaves, is highly valued for its many uses and applications. Although 99 percent water, it contains multiple components with many biological activities. The active components still elude definition and scientists are busy explaining the medicinal properties of the gel. One of the substances we know more about are glycoproteins and polysaccharides. Glycoproteins found in aloe vera gel speed the skin healing process by stopping pain and inflammation, while polysaccharides stimulate skin growth and repair. These substances may also stimulate the immune system. In some tests aloe vera gel displayed anti-inflammatory effects superior to 1% hydrocortisone cream. As such, researchers claim aloe vera extract in skin care products may help skin with inflammation, like in rosacea and acne, or in sunlight induced redness. It also makes healing much faster, as was observed for the skin after full-face dermabrasion.

According to most recent reports, aloe gel extracts show significant antioxidant activity, even better than alpha-tocopherol, a recognized strong antioxidant.

Aloe gel extract can be found in a variety of commercial skin lotions and cosmetics and over-the-counter skin care products as well. The aloe vera ingredients function primarily as skin conditioning agents. They also gained tremendous popularity in formulations for minor burns, speeding the healing time even by 9 days.

Our Noredol® Skin Care Gel contains the best quality aloe vera extract, delivering to the skin in our proprietary formulation all the soothing, moisturizing and skin-renewing goodness of aloe vera. Noredol® helps sensitive, over-reactive skin, especially skin with redness like in rosacea and acne, or redness induced by sun UV light. It also improves skin healing, so skin imperfections, like in acne, disappear faster without leaving unpleasant marks.
